Clemens, Randy Johnson, Greg Maddux, Steve Carlton, Pedro Martinez, Sandy Koufax, Tom Seaver, Jim Palmer and Clayton Kershaw as the only pitchers in MLB history with 3 Cy Young awards. Scherzer finished the 2007 season with 2149 Ks.

By the time his career is over, Scherzer should be in the elite group of pitchers with 250 career wins and 3000 strikeouts, a career worth of the Hall of Fame.
